HMH Expands Top Drive Portfolio with the New MH Orion™ TD-516
"When developing the Orion™ TD-516, our objective was clear: deliver the performance drilling contractors expect while addressing the practical challenges they face every day," says Rakan Al Saifi, VP Sales & Regional Leader – MENA at HMH. "The result is a top drive that combines class-leading torque and operational flexibility with a compact design that supports efficient installation, rig moves, maintenance, and long-term operation."
The Orion™ TD-516 combines a dual AC motor configuration of up to 1,600 hp with a maximum continuous drilling torque of more than 80,000 ft-lbs (108,000+ Nm) and maximum pressure rating of up to 10,000 psi (with additional high-pressure kit). At the same time, the compact footprint allows integration into a wide range of existing and new-built rigs, helping contractors make effective use of existing assets while minimizing modification requirements.
A key design consideration was operational flexibility. The Orion™ TD-516 can be installed with motors positioned either at the front or rear of the unit, enabling adaptation to different mast and derrick configurations. Fast-disconnect service loops, multiple mounting options, and an integrated onboard hydraulic power unit further support efficient rig moves and streamlined installation.
The system also incorporates features aimed at improving day-to-day operations, including 360-degree pipe-handler rotation, increased link tilt capacity, integrated motor brakes, gearbox cooling, and optional Condition-Based Maintenance capabilities. To mitigate stick-slip and drilling vibrations, the top drive can optionally be equipped with Soft Torque Z™ technology.

Airborne early entry forces require the seizure of clean, flat and secure airfields. As part of the assault force, TNA is dropped by parachute to level, clean improvised or existing airports, airstrips and runways.
TNA is a highly compact earthmover equipped with a multipurpose blade on the front and a ripper at the back. The chassis is made of high performances aluminum alloy on which the cab, the engine and the tracked running gear are integrated. The cab can be tilted in order to lower the silhouette for airdroppable configuration. The cab is ROPS/FOPS certified. It is protected with STANAG4569 Level 2 add-on armor and belly protection.
