About
Virginia University of Integrative Medicine (VUIM) is a private, non-profit institution of higher education committed to developing exceptional practitioners in the fields of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine. Our mission is to provide rigorous, culturally responsive training that empowers students to deliver accessible, whole-person healthcare to their communities.
Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM), VUIM offers both master's and doctoral degree programs in Acupuncture and East Asian Herbal Medicine. All academic programs are available in three language tracks—English, Korean, and Chinese—reflecting our dedication to inclusivity and accessibility.
Our academic community spans three campuses:
Tysons, Virginia (Flagship Campus)
Ridgefield, New Jersey (New York Tri-State Region)
Duluth, Georgia (Atlanta Metro Area)
Each campus features an Academic Teaching Clinic, where student interns, under the supervision of licensed professional faculty, provide team-based acupuncture treatments to the public. In addition to these teaching clinics, VUIM operates a elevated Private Practice experience led by our licensed professional faculty, offering worldclass care to individuals seeking integrative and holistic treatment options (www.vuimclinic.com).
As the leading acupuncture institution accredited by ACAHM in the United States, VUIM is proud to play a defining role in the expansion of access to high-quality integrative medicine education and whole-person healthcare services, nationwide. Through education, clinical practice, and community engagement, VUIM is shaping the future of healthcare—one practitioner at a time.
