TNI - Load Break Switching and Fault Interrupting
G&W Electric
As a proven solution in corrosive environments and submersible applications, G&W Electric model TNI padmount switches include load break and fault interrupting capability with visible break and integral ground position on each way. This eliminates the need to handle any high voltage connections to ground the cable. The high voltage connections are positioned on the opposite side of the switch operators to further isolate the operator from high voltage. The fault interrupters provide electronically controlled, resettable over current protection in a totally sealed, dead front device. The switches are designed for use on 3-phase systems with voltages up to 38kV, 630A load break, and continuous current, with 12.5kA, 20kA, and 25kA symmetrical fault interrupting ratings.
Trident® Solid Dielectric Switchgear
G&W Electric
Trident®-S is a three-phase spring assisted load break or fault interrupting switch with side mounted handles that can be positioned with a hook stick and can be mounted either vertically or horizontally. It is available with SafeVu, an innovative visible break built into the switch which eliminates the need to remove elbows or externally mounted components to provide a visible open.
CLiP®
G&W Electric
G&W Electric’s Current Limiting Protectors (CLiP®) offer the advantages of current limitation for 2.8 through 38 kV systems with continuous current ratings up to 5000 A. Compact, totally sealed construction permits the CLiP to be installed both indoors and out, either pole or structure mounted or within an enclosure. The CLiP’s unique ability to provide high continuous current ratings with current limitation and ultra-high speed of operation in one package make it an economical solution for a variety of overcurrent protection needs.
