At Sauer we know well how the demands on naval compressors are very different from industrial applications. After all, we look back on more than 60 years of experience and expertise in developing and manufacturing specially designed compressors for navies the world over. Currently, 55+ navies rely on our high-pressure, medium-pressure, low-pressure and non-magnetic compressors. Because they know from their own experience that our compressors meet all the special demands of naval applications – whether in surface vessels or submarines.

Sauer Compressors is a leading manufacturer of medium- and high-pressure air and gas compressors. The medium-sized German group of companies has thirtheen subsidiaries around the world. It was founded more than 135 years ago and has more than 85 years of experience in compressed air and gas technology.
Today, it focusses on the development, production and sale of medium- and high-pressure compressors for applications in commercial shipping, industry, the petroleum industry and the defence sector. The four product lines SAUER, HAUG, Girodin und EK focus on specific fields of application. The SAUER line comprises oil-lubricated high-pressure compressors for a wide variety of applications, while HAUG stands for oil-free and hermetically gas-tight compressors. The Girodin and EK lines offer special compressors for the naval market. Sauer Compressors’ modern reciprocating compressors for the compression of air and various gases reach pressures of 20 to 500 barg.
Besides standard products, it offers customised solutions for individual customers, OEMs and companies that operate on a global stage. With a global network of agents and representatives, Sauer maintains close proximity to its customers. By supplementing the compressor range with high-quality accessories, engineering services, assembly and service concepts, Sauer offers system solutions right up to complete turnkey installations.
