Fth series - hydraulically operated antenna masts
SMAG Mobile Antenna Masts GmbH
The Fth series consists of hydraulically operated antenna masts that can be mounted onto vehicles or trailers. The mast unit can be dismounted from the vehicle for longer shutdown periods. This telescopic lattice mast design has been designed for heights of up to 40m.
This mast type was originally designed for Deutsche Telekom's live broadcasting services, but is now also used for telecommunications.
Especially our Fth 34/5 antenna mast provides top mobility, even in rough terrain.

SMAG Mobile Antenna Masts GmbH
The electro-mechanically operated aluminum antenna masts systems are build for working heights up to 36 m. Originally designed for the German Army, the masts of the Ftm series gained worldwide reputation owing to their high accuracy and reliability. Meanwhile SMAG Mobile Antenna Masts GmbH has sold more than 1,200 antenna masts that are also used by private mobile network providers.

From the turn of the year 2013/2014 on, Salzgitter Maschinenbau AG (SMAG) will reorganize its business operations.
SMAG is the holding company that will manage and coordinate the operating companies. All business operations will then be done by independent subsidiaries as follows:
* Grab business will be done by PEINER SMAG Lifting Technologies GmbH, Salzgitter. This company also controls the China and India subsidiaries. This group of company is the world market leader in grabs technology.
* Mining equipment and special-purpose vehicle business will be pooled within HERBST SMAG Mining Technologies GmbH, Braunschweig.
* The open-pit drilling rig business activities will be performed by NORDMEYER SMAG Drilling Technologies GmbH, Peine.
* Matec GmbH, Döbeln (Saxony), will do the driver´s cabins business.
* Antenna mast business will be managed by SMAG Mobile Antenna Masts GmbH, Salzgitter.
