The PRS offers reduced FOD damage compared to externally mounted payloads, normal takeoff and climb performance without additional parasitic drag, as well as providing a covert ramp presence. It is lightweight, has 28VDC (max current draw 15A), has dual drive redundancy, a manual fail-safe mode, and is controlled by the Pilot and/or TFO.
