Metal Finishing Company offers a broad array of Aluminum, Titanium & Magnesium Finishing services as well as a wide variety of Hard Metal Plating options.
Aluminum Finishing Services include Chromic Anodize, Sulfuric Anodize, Boric-Sulfuric Anodize, Chromate Conversion Coatings and Hard Anodize coatings.
Titanium and Magnesium Finishing Services include Etch and Phosphate Fluoride Coating as well as Dow 7 and Dow 17 anodize options.
Plating processes include Cadmium, Zinc-Nickel, Hard Chrome, Nickel, Electroless Nickel, Copper, Silver, Tin, & Zinc plus other specialty plating options. We also offer Passivation, Phosphate Coatings, and Black Oxide. As a job shop, we are constantly evolving our processes to fit our customer’s needs – we are flexible to install new plating processes custom tailored for your needs.

Metal Finishing Company offers robotic controlled Thermal Spray coatings available in a wide variety of materials. We hold aerospace approvals for this process and offer tightly controlled repeatability through our dedicated equipment.
We are able to process jobs for Thermal Spray coatings only or integrate this coating with other inspection and finishing requirements all under one purchase order – saving crucial time and money on logistics for our customer base.
With an in-house materials and testing lab we are able to ensure our process meets critical aerospace quality requirements without the need for outside testing in most cases.

Non-Destructive Testing

MFC offers various non-destructive testing, including Certified FAA Repair Station in Wichita, Kansas.
Immersion Ultrasonic Inspection, Through Transmission Ultrasonic Inspection, Data Acquisition & Analysis, Ultrasonic Pulse Echo Inspection, Resonance Inspection, Metal Bond Inspection, Film X - Radiography, Digital X - Radiography, Bolt Hole Inspection, Eddy Current – Special Applications, Eddy Current – Special Applications, Liquid Penetrant Inspection, Defect Characterization, Leak Testing, In-Service Inspection Of Aircraft, Temper Verification, Conductivity Testing. Penetrant Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, and Ultrasonic inspection are offered at our Mexico location also.

Metal Finishing Company, Inc. was established in Wichita Kansas USA in 1940, the largest family-owned aerospace processing facility in North America. Employment stands at 600 fulltime employees, with over 680,000 square feet of process area. Facilities located in Wichita KS, Wellington KS and, Chihuahua City Mexico. Approved for over 100 aerospace finishing and pre-finish disciplines including heat treatment. Currently, we hold seventeen NADCAP accreditations companywide for Chemical Processing, Non-Destructive Testing, Heat Treatment, and Surface Enhancement. Metal Finishing Company holds more Boeing Process Approvals than any other processing company worldwide. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) to track orders through processing and maintain traceability. On-Site source inspections and direct shipments to OEM’s.

Heat Treatment of Aluminum, Titanium, Stainless, and Alloy Steels. Aging and extensive Straighten services.
