History of the EAFT:
1960
Founded as a department of Rheinstahl-Nordseewerke GmbH – later ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems
Initially repairs to Rheinstahl Hanomag vehicles.
from 1962
repair of various vehicles and equipment for the German armed forces.
Expansion of the company through the repair of various vehicles / devices and assemblies for the German Armed Forces and NATO.
Field service for military equipment at home and abroad
from 1995
Independent company ThyssenKrupp Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH
History of MWB vehicle technology:
1971
Founding of MWB Fahrzeugtechnik in Langen (near Bremerhaven).
Joint path from 2010:
2010/2011
Takeover of TKFT and MWB Fahrzeugtechnik in the best-owner process by the Emder DIRKS Group and transition to EAFT Emder Anlagen- und Fahrzeugtechnik. Together with the sister company MWB Fahrzeugtechnik (Langen / Nds.), EAFT is part of the Defense & Security division of the DIRKS Group.
2021
Takeover of OWR Odenwaldwerke Rittersbach GmbH . The OWR is the repair partner of the US armed forces for tank and transport vehicles. In addition, OWR is active in the construction of special vehicles and systems and is a special manufacturer of decontamination equipment and materials (ABC defense).
