AS6081 Testing Services

AS6081A standardizes practices for the identification of reliable sources to procure electrical, electronic, and electromechanical (EEE) parts, assess and mitigate the risk of distributing suspect counterfeit or counterfeit EEE parts, control suspect counterfeit or counterfeit EEE parts, and report incidents of suspect counterfeit and counterfeit EEE parts.
The standard sets forth practices and requirements for use by Independent Distributors (a.k.a. brokers) of EEE parts or any entity performing “open market” transactions.
SMT Corp. believes counterfeit EEE parts mitigation starts with counterfeit avoidance by rigorously implementing the requirements of AS6081 when sourcing from the open market – and follows through with best-in-class counterfeit detection testing and inspection accredited to AS6171.
