Reusable Thermal Protection Systems for Hypersonics and Space Re-entry Platforms
Based off NASA heritage material composition - non-ablative and reusable up to 2600C
Thrust Components for Satellite Propulsion Systems
Additively-manufactured alumina and aluminum nitride components; infinite design flexibility
Radomes for Drones and Weapon Systems
Additively-manufactured silica; stable up to 1200C, high-strength and electromagnetic permeability
Heat Exchangers
Additively-manufactured in various materials; computationally-maximized designs
CANOPY AEROSPACE
Canopy was founded in late 2021 to solve critical supply chain issues in the space industry. Founders Matt Shieh and John Howard noticed that high-temperature materials used in extreme space environments such as space launch and re-entry were critically constrained. This set forth the motion to transform legacy manufacturing processes across industries to support humanity’s reach for the stars.

Canopy Aerospace
Canopy Aerospace invests continuously in next-gen technology development, and retains experts in manufacturing, materials, and technology commercialization. At Canopy's 18,000 sqft facility in Colorado, the team leverages a variety of 3D-printers for ceramics, traditional casting, robotic automation, and thermal processing. Much of Canopy's R&D efforts have been validated by organizations like NASA and the US Department of Defense.
High-temperature Radomes
Canopy Aerospace
Additive-manufacturing of custom-designed radomes; ceramic sensor housing that is permeable to electromagnetic spectrum, stable at high temperatures, and low CTE.
Ceramic Components for Satellite Propulsion Systems
Canopy Aerospace
Additively-manufactured ceramic components for usage as nozzles, throats, combustion chambers, and electronic components within various satellite propulsion systems - electric, electrothermal, electromagnetic, ph. Critical for enablement of next-gen propulsion technologies such as Hall-Effect, radio-frequency (RF), ion drives, field-emission, microwave, and combustion.
Heat Exchangers
Canopy Aerospace
Additively manufactured ceramic heat exchangers for use in extreme environments such as space, aerospace, or power generation applications.
Reusable Thermal Protection Systems
Canopy Aerospace
Thermal protection systems (heat shields) are a highly-engineered low-density ceramic with specific coatings applied to improve emissivity, toughness, and waterproofing.
