The Office of Trade & Investment is a division of the Illinois Department of Commerce headquartered in Chicago.  OTI’s mandate is twofold:  globally promoting Illinois exports and attracting foreign direct investment into the state. Through its home office in Chicago and its six well-established overseas regional offices, OTI provides business and lead generation support to Illinois homegrown companies through organized global trade missions, tailormade industry focused overseas tradeshows and individual marketing assistance to assist in finding key strategic partners/distributors.   OTI’s expert team also assists foreign companies that want to have a presence in the state by offering support in site selection, industry specific information, cost of doing business comparisons, introductions to key players and ultimately a soft landing.
