The Austrian Embassy in Mexico is concurrent for Mexico, as well as for the Central American countries of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
The central function of the Austrian Embassy in Mexico is to promote bilateral relations in political, economic, cultural, and scientific matters, as well as to assist Austrian citizens during their stay in these countries. We also support Mexican and Central American citizens traveling to Austria with the necessary consular formalities and provide useful advice for their stay in Austria.
The Austrian Cultural Forum in Mexico , located on the premises of the Embassy, is dedicated to cultural and scientific topics. The Embassy's Commercial Office , located in the Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City, handles trade affairs and the affairs of Austrian companies with branches in Mexico and Central America. Furthermore, the Honorary Consulates in Belize (Belize City), Costa Rica (San José), El Salvador (San Salvador), Guatemala (Guatemala City), Honduras (Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula), Mexico (Cancún, Guadalajara, Monterrey, and Tijuana), and Nicaragua (Managua) support the Austrian Embassy in Mexico in its consular work.
