The need for communication networks among academics towards the campus environment to bridge community relations as part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Community Service, has increased.
The increasingly intense dissemination of information to its audience is part of an absolute requirement and is very important for the success of achieving strategic goals in the world of education. One of the main tools for delivering information that is considered effective is television, considering its ability to convey messages in two dimensions at once, namely the dimensions of sound (audio) and images (visual).
Streaming Fikom TV can be used as the main tool to help convey messages to the community or part of the technology of the teaching and learning process in the campus environment, and more broadly it will be a tool to build a conducive, cooperative campus environment community, full of innovative works and intensely build an image among the community.
Therefore, the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Gunadarma University sees the need to build audio-visual media in the form of Streaming Fikom TV which is used as a medium for delivering messages to the community around the campus.
