ILSUNG COMPOSITES Co., Ltd. is the only company in Korea capable of producing carbon fiber SMC (Sheet Molding Compound) materials. We specialize in manufacturing composite material production equipment such as carbon fiber SMC production lines and carbon fiber spread tow weaving machines, as well as producing carbon fiber SMC sheets.
Since 2018, we have been commercializing carbon fiber SMC equipment, and this technology earned us the “Innovation Award” in the domestic equipment category at JEC KOREA 2020.
Leveraging our proprietary technology, we supplied and installed glass fiber/fabric SMC production equipment to Dongsung Chemical (2018, 2019) and Korea Carbon (2022). We have also been steadily supplying carbon fiber SMC materials for the Genesis G90 interior trim for Hyundai Motor Company.
In addition, we are actively engaged in R&D collaborations with various leading domestic corporations, continuously developing carbon fiber SMC materials that combine excellent moldability with high strength.
