Mee Industries has been a leader in gas turbine inlet air fogging systems for over 30 years. MeeFog systems use high-pressure atomization to create a fine fog of microscopic water droplets that evaporate rapidly, providing highly efficient evaporative cooling.
MeeFog systems are primarily used to cool the inlet air of gas turbines. By lowering the air temperature, the fog increases air density, allowing the turbine to produce more power. The fog nozzles can be installed either upstream or downstream of the inlet air filters, depending on system design. MeeFog is also used for wet compression, where the fog is injected directly into the compressor. The water droplets evaporate inside the compressor, providing an intercooling effect that improves compression efficiency and boosts power output.
Beyond gas turbines, MeeFog systems are applied to cooling heat exchangers, such as steam condensers, lube oil coolers, and generator coolers. The ultra-fine mist cools the air passing over these systems without causing pooling or excess moisture on the ground under the heat exchangers.
