Current Scientific Corporation is the Canadian manufacturer of electro-optical infrared (EO/IR) systems, used in the Naval & Defence sector and the Marine & Yacht industry. The company is a SME focused on export and based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Current offers a wide range of COTS sensor configurations integrating cooled or uncooled thermal cameras as well as other sensors such as HD thermal imaging, image intensified night vision, laser dazzler, laser illuminator, laser range finder, and SWIR.
Current continually invests in Night Navigator™ R&D for a diverse range of applications including anti-piracy, whale and whale spout detection, extreme weather search and rescue, and oil spill detection.
Our EO/IR cameras and night vision systems are installed worldwide on (Super)Yachts, Coast Guard ships, Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV), Search and Rescue vessels (SAR), High-Speed Craft (HSC), Fast Patrol Vessels (FPV), Research Vessels etc. In addition, the EO/IR systems are deployed internationally for coastal surveillance.
