GICAT, a professional group created in 1978, has more than 458 members, large groups, mid-cap companies and SMEs. These members cover a broad spectrum of industrial, research, service and consulting activities for the benefit of military and civil, national and international components involved in land or air-land security and/or defense. In 2017, it launched GENERATE, the first start-up accelerator in the French defense and security innovation ecosystem. GICAT represents the interests of French land and air-land Defense and Security manufacturers around four objectives: - Organize dialogue between institutions and manufacturers in the sector - Offer services to its members to promote their development in France and internationally - Create an environment favorable to exchanges between manufacturers - Promote the know-how and image of the sector's industry GICAT's international influence is based on the international trade fairs EUROSATORY in France and Expodefensa in Colombia, organized by its subsidiary COGES Events, as well as a certain number of defense and/or security trade fairs abroad.
