About
In line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to build a future shaped by the youth of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Nasser Vocational Training Centre (NVTC) was founded in 2014. This initiative stems from His Majesty’s aspiration to create a scientific and professional hub that fosters knowledge, expertise, and practical skills.
NVTC was named after, and chaired by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs. The Centre is evolving beyond simply preparing students for the labour market through its vocational, technical, and technological educational tracks. Today, we are forging new paths, working diligently to become a pioneering regional centre of excellence, providing comprehensive solutions and producing distinguished Bahraini professionals. Our mission focuses on equipping the youth to thrive in critical and cutting-edge sectors, including technology, energy, and engineering. NVTC is also committed to nurturing future-oriented fields such as artificial intelligence, empowering our students to lead in these vital industries.
As part of our ambitious growth strategy, NVTC has expanded its academic offerings to secondary school students, aligning with the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Currently, we offer three advanced educational tracks covering a wide range of disciplines, including Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Computing. In addition, we have introduced a unique Sports and Business track, blending academics with professional football training. This program, a first of its kind in Bahrain, identifies and develop local talent in partnership with leading experts from the European sports industry, exposing our youth to global standards and innovations in sports management and athletic development.
Our efforts to innovate extend further with the establishment of the Cyber Security Academy, offering students aged 14 and above—whether in high school or already employed—diplomas in this critical and fast-growing field. This program reflects our commitment to preparing students for the dynamic world of technology.
Additionally, NVTC is proud to operate a Corporate Training Arm, through the Industrial Partnership Directorate, dedicated to empowering national cadres and high school graduates (aged 18 and above) through carefully designed, internationally accredited courses. These programs are tailored to meet the changing needs of the labour market, enhancing the skills and potential of this key segment. By identifying industry demands and providing specialized training, we aim to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in their respective fields.
On the other hand, NVTC’s Nasser Artificial Intelligence for Research & Development Centre marks a pivotal step in our transformation into an incubator for technological solutions. This R&D hub undertakes a variety of projects leveraging future science technologies, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data analytics, and the metaverse. We have collaborated with sectors such as energy and communications and have signed over 35 MoUs with government and private entities in Bahrain to provide advanced AI solutions and specialized training.
Our hard work has earned us numerous accolades, including the Future Award at GITEX (Gulf and Middle East Information Technology Exhibition), first place for the best AI project in the education sector across the Middle East, and the Best ECITB Training Provider Award for the MENA region in 2022.
At NVTC, we are committed to fulfilling the vision of our wise leadership by empowering Bahraini students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a rapidly changing world. By fostering partnerships with leading institutions in Bahrain and globally, we ensure our students benefit from an enriching and world-class educational experience.
