About
Opening its doors in April 1984, NAASCO has served the aviation industry for over 35 years as a FAA and EASA approved repair station and our leadership team brings a combined electrical, mechanical, and avionics experience of over 250 years. During this time, NAASCO has changed the aviation industry by introducing our specialized designed engineering solutions that focuses on improved reliability while solving planned obsolescence. Two of our most successful product offerings are our starter generator ETR/Mercury Mod and our Sil-Met contact, relay, and terminal block solutions.
Mercury Mod™ and ETR™
In 1992, NAASCO introduced the first in a series of starter generator improvements with the introduction of the original “Long Life” brush. Consequently, allowing operators to reach TBO (Time Between Overhaul) without a brush change and reducing commutator wear by a factor of ten. This revolutionary new brush was given the trademark “ETR”, an acronym for Electrographitic Treated Resins.
Sil-Met™
Starting in 1988, NAASCO began working closely with the engineering department at FedEx to develop cost-effective repair solutions for the expensive relay contacts used in their Boeing 727 aircraft. After four years of testing and thousands of flight hours, our repair process proved to be flawless, opening the doors for our Sil-Met™ repair solutions. This cutting-edge technology allows previously consumable contacts and terminal boards to be repaired, renewed and placed back into service. Presently, our exclusive Sil-Met™ processes can be applied to most power relays used on helicopters, regional, corporate, military and commercial aircraft.
In addition to our specialized engineering solutions, our capabilities also include but are not limited to; Starter Generators, Power Relays and Contactors, Inverters, Converters, Power Supplies and GCU’s, Pumps, Fans, Actuators, Blowers, Air Valves, Search and Landing Lights, Strobes, Actuators , and more.
