Dr. Bahram Zargar was trained as a Mechanical Engineer at K.N.Toosi University of Technology (KNTU) in Tehran, Iran. He moved to Canada in 2003 and did his Master’s degrees on control of mechanical systems at University of Ottawa. The idea of bridging between control systems and biology led him toward a new area of science known as synthetic biology and his thesis “A Synthetic Biology Approach to Bacteria Mediated Tumor Targeting” became the first thesis at University of Waterloo on synthetic biology. In 2016, Bahram and Dr. Sattar co-founded CREM Co Labs, an R&D and contract research facility located near Toronto, Canada.
