The Korea Metal Materials Research Association, established January 5, 1990, under the Act on the Promotion of Industrial Technology Research Associations, identifies common technological demands in the steel and metal industries, supports R&D planning aligned with government policies, and contributes to policy development. As the primary R&D coordinator for the "Metal Industry Cooperation Foundation Program," KOMERA promotes commercialization, strengthens collaboration between demand-supply companies, facilitates technology exchange, improves outcomes, and helps establish global value chains.
