About
TransEON is a Canadian startup offering a next-gen gallium nitride (GaN) microelectronics foundry service for applications in wireless (microwave/RF), power, and high-temperature electronics. Our chips, manufactured entirely in Canada, support a number of critical defence applications including radar systems, avionics, satellite communications, electronic warfare, and hypersonics. As a pure-play foundry, we offer flexible fabrication of customer designed chips in addition to custom design services for customers requiring translation of specs to a final packaged product.
Compared to existing offerings, TransEON's technology provides significant improvements in device footprint, efficiency, and performance, with >3x higher RF power density than existing GaN solutions. Other benefits over competing foundries include lower minimum order quantities, best-in-industry turnaround times, and license-free export to 32 countries. As one of the only open-access RF GaN foundries outside the US and Taiwan, TransEON has received significant interest from customers worldwide seeking supply chain stability for mission-critical applications. Current clients of note include a major Asian defence prime, as well as a US startup conducting a multi-year contract for the US Air Force Research Labs.
