At Team Wendy, our mission is deeply personal—founded in memory of Wendy Moore, who tragically lost her life to a traumatic brain injury, we are driven by a core belief: to save lives by preventing head trauma and advancing protection for those who risk theirs every day
ABOUT TEAM WENDY
Team Wendy is an Avon Technologies PLC company dedicated to honoring Wendy Moore’s legacy by providing exceptional head protection systems for those who risk their lives every day. Since the company’s founding in 1997, Team Wendy has largely focused on developing leading-edge products that serve to protect against serious and potentially life-threatening impact-related injuries. With Team Wendy’s commitment to thoughtful design from the inside out, our products allow the wearer to focus on their mission, not their helmet – whether that be combat, rescue or adventure.
Most notably, through our long-standing partnership with the U.S. Military and the National Industries for the Blind (NIB), Team Wendy has supplied our men and women in uniform with more than 7 million Zorbium® Action Pad (ZAP™) helmet pad systems since 2005. In 2012, the company launched the EXFIL® helmet platform, marking Team Wendy’s return to the production of complete helmet systems. Today, many high-profile teams and organizations in the United States and more than 55 allied nations worldwide are protected by Team Wendy, including the U.S. Air Force Security Forces, the U.S. Army 10th Special Forces Group and FEMA, amongst others.
Team Wendy also actively collaborates with world-class universities and organizations to conduct cutting-edge research with the goal of better understanding the causes of traumatic brain injury (TBI). We develop products that focus on addressing what actually occurs during impact. Team Wendy has been involved in several innovative R&D efforts to design and adapt novel helmet liner materials for ballistic helmets. We constantly seek to understand how they can be optimized to limit trauma.
Team Wendy products are manufactured in Cleveland, Ohio. Our state-of-the-art testing, engineering and chemistry labs, as well as our 165,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, allow us constant, hands-on access to our products and materials. We employ a diverse staff of highly-trained professionals who are all vital to our day-to-day operations and give Team Wendy a reputation for exceedingly reliable customer service.
