About
The SHOTOVER Legacy
Born from an obsession with flying, filmmaking and broadcasting, SHOTOVER was developed in 2009 by the most respected engineers, pilots, and cinematographers in the industry. Their single-minded goal was to integrate the ultimate stability, versatility and ease of use.
Today, SHOTOVER systems are relied upon by production companies, broadcasters and industrial survey companies across the globe. The company’s flagship SHOTOVER K1 has become a Hollywood staple and remains the industry’s only Academy Award winning stabilized gimbal system on the market.
The Churchill Navigation Legacy
Churchill Navigation developed its industry-leading augmented reality mapping software, ARS, for the law enforcement community in 2006. Built to seamlessly interface with gyro stabilized camera systems and enhance the utilization of full-motion video, the company worked with the Denver Police Department to test and further develop the software until it was ready for release in 2010. ARS quickly became the industry-standard for a wide range of markets including airborne law enforcement and firefighting, search and rescue, electronic newsgathering and utility inspections.
In August 2020, Churchill Navigation joined forces with SHOTOVER Camera Systems, now called SHOTOVER Systems, to bring the best of two cutting edge technologies together to deliver complete solutions for its customers backed by industry-leading service, training and support.
