About
IMSAR is a global leader in the development of high performance multi-mode radar systems capable of all-weather imaging, monitoring, and surface search. Our radars are simple to integrate on manned and unmanned aircraft of all sizes.
At IMSAR, we seek to democratize radar: making it more usable, affordable, and available than ever before. Designing our SAR systems to be simple to integrate on manned and unmanned aircraft of all sizes, we preserve the low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) of our systems while expanding our offering of advanced capabilities and operational modes. We seek to eliminate barriers that have prevented customers from looking to radar to augment or solve their Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) problems.
A single IMSAR radar can simultaneously serve many purposes. IMSAR radar sensors provide a suite of capabilities previously only available from large manned aircraft, including Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging, Coherent and Magnitude Change Detection (CCD/MCD), Inverse SAR (ISAR), Ground Moving Target Indication (GMTI), and Maritime Moving Target Indication (MMTI). In addition, IMSAR radar systems can generate SAR Motion Video (SMV) from SAR imagery, providing data similar to Full-Motion Video (FMV).
IMSAR has a family of exportable radars suitable for Group 1 through 5 Unmanned Systems and manned aircraft. The NSP-3 weighs 3.5 kg, consumes 81 watts and is suitable for Group 1 and 2 UAS. The NSP-5, which is a program of record for the US Marine Corps, weighs 7.5 kg, consumes 130 watts and is suitable for Group 3 aircraft. The NSP-7 weighs 10.9 kg, consumes 275 watts and is suitable for Group 4 and manned aircraft.
IMSAR radars are designed for volume manufacturing. This results in high quality products and low lead times. Typical lead times are between 5 and 7 months. At times radars are available for purchase off the shelf to fulfill immediate needs.
IMSAR radars can be integrated with existing mission systems for command, control and data dissemination. IMSAR also has an intuitive command, control and data dissemination mission system called Lisa 3D. Lisa 3D makes analyzing data from multiple sensors simple. In Lisa 3D, sensor data is overlaid on an existing 3D optical map or represented with icons to make data easy to find, see, and understand. Use Lisa 3D to perform real-time analysis of data from multiple sensors and generate actionable intelligence. View, annotate, and mark sensor data. Lisa 3D will automatically highlight annotations and marks on the map, timeline, and calendar. Export data using Lisa 3D’s built-in export feature.
