The Korean Society of Polar Medicine (KSPM) consists of medical doctors who has experienced at Arctic and Antarctic stations and icebreakers. Focused on polar medicine research and practice, KSPM has cooperated with Korea Polar Research Institute and its overwintering physicians. Each Antarctic doctors has mainly dispatched to the Antarctic King Sejong Station since 1988 and Antarctic Jang Bogo Station from the beginning in 2013. KSPM prioritizes the health and safety of polar personnel and advances medical fields like telemedicine and extreme medicine for the future applications.
