Seocheon-gun is situated at the midpoint of the west coast of Republic of Korea and in the southernmost region of Chungcheongnam-do. Seocheon has a number of famous lacal specialties. Seocheon is well-known for the Hansan Semosi, which is considered as the finest product among the ramie fabrics produced by famous producers since the Goryeo Dynasty, and Hansan Sogokju, a traditional alcoholic beverage that has been passed on for 1,000 years and served to the royal family of Baekje.
