About
THE EARLY YEARS
Bri-Bet Security Solutions traces its roots to 2009 when founder Brian Kunkel recognized a need for high-end, higher quality private security in the Baltimore-Washington corridor - home to three million people, large federal agency headquarters facilities and hundreds of contractors and thousands of subcontractors. Escalating threats to national security and technology development in this geographic area mandated a robust security force and operation capable of protecting people, buildings and our nation's secrets.
SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTALIZED INFORMATION FACILITIES -- SCIFS
Early company efforts were focused on helping owners of off-government installations SCIFs attain and retain compliance for planning, building, operating, training and certifying security in accordance with SCIF Certification mandates. Failure to attain certification could potentially eliminate SCIF owners from working classified projects that represented large value opportunities for private companies. The company was being managed and operated with only one full time employee. Over time, security specialists were brought on board to meet ever-growing security requirements beyond SCIF certification and support. Owners Brian and Beth Kunkel worked full time jobs outside of Bri-Bet and the company qualified as a small, woman-owned business in Maryland.
COMPANY PHILOSOPHY
Our goal is to be the leader in designed security solutions while building strong and long lasting relationships with our customers, employees and business partners. We value outstanding customer service while providing quality and reasonably prices products and services. We pledge to our customers, employees and partners Honesty, Accountability, Integrity and Responsibility.
How Do We Do It?
Plain and simply, our employees. We invest heavily in searching for and attracting top notch talent with the right mix of seasoned law enforcement and/or military training. Successful completion of annual and recurring training is necessary to retain guard cards certified and issued by the Maryland State Police. Without a certified guard card, individuals are not eligible to work for many of our clients.
