Dr. Wout De Backer
Dr. Wout De Backer leads the Additive Manufacturing, Composites and Design Engineering (AMCODE) team at the McNAIR Center for Aerospace Innovation and Research. Core competencies include FDM/FFF 3D printer design, equipment prototyping, automation, composite design and analysis, and aircraft design for aeronautics and advanced air mobility, on which he has published over 50 publications and 10 patents.
