The 33rd edition of the SRE Trade Show , which in 2023 hosted the Supermarket Americas Convention , reinforced its role as one of the biggest and best food retail events in the Americas. Organized by the Association of Supermarkets of the State of Rio de Janeiro (ASSERJ) and Base Eventos , the Trade Show received 62 thousand visitors and generated R$2.5 billion in business during the three days of programming.
With the aim of promoting an international network, the 33rd SRE brought together 500 exhibiting brands and approximately 1,000 supermarkets from 16 different countries , in addition to providing around 8,000 direct and indirect jobs . The event also invested heavily in knowledge, as it consolidated 40 hours of quality content aimed at retailers.
