During March, Brazil's PROSUB SSK S-41 Humaitá carried outdynamic submersion and depth trials offthe coast of Rio de Janeiro.
The Humaitá is the second of four diesel-electric boats on order for the Brazilian Navyand the acceptance tests at sea will release itfor service entry. The first-in-classRiachuelo, was commissioned in September 2022.
The trialsevaluate not only the submarine'sability to dive safely, but evaluate thelevel of readiness of the crew.
