It is a self- contained, highly transportable system that includes a high energy laser, beam control system, power, thermal, and safety systems. Included universal transportation provisions enable LOCUST LWS to be easily relocated using forklifts, pickup trucks, or other customer-provided platforms. LOCUST LWS is also highly supportable and contains modular subassemblies. Our Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) can be organically serviced to maximize operational availability (Ao). LOCUST offers a network- based, single operator interface with Xbox gaming controls that are a natural fit to today’s warfighter. The system includes an integrated checklist to efficiently guide setup and is operationally weapons “hot” within 15 minutes after powerup.
