The MSSR Mode S system supports the largest number of target acquisitions in existence, with a detection range of up to 256NM and more than 1080 targets at a speed of 15rpm.
Ground surveillance radar is used in large-scale airports to monitor traffic on the airport surface and control aircraft and vehicles on the ground during bad weather or when the location of the control tower makes it difficult to clearly observe the runway or taxiway. It's a radar.
