Piper Pilot 100i
On 15 December 2020 Piper Aircraft announced that it has received type certification from the Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) for the Pilot 100. The Pilot 100, which was announced during Sun-n-Fun
in 2019, is the value priced addition to Piper’s trainer-class line. Following certification, Piper began
deliveries to its launch customer, American Flyers, who have taken delivery of over thirty Pilot 100i
aircraft to date.
The Piper Pilot 100i rounds off Piper’s portfolio of training aircraft products. With four model series (Pilot
100i, Archer TX, Archer DX, and Seminole) the company offers the widest range of training aircraft of
any aircraft manufacturer and meets all the individual needs of its training operators and customers. For
2024, flight schools have an option for a factory new, robust trainer that is priced under $400,000 and is
IFR equipped with digital autopilot.
The Piper Pilot 100i provides flight schools with professional training aircraft that offer a value
proposition, which translates into lower operating costs that can result in lower priced initial training
courses. Standard instrumentation includes the Garmin G3X system, which offers all the advantages of
a glass cockpit without the costs. The Pilot 100i is powered by the 180hp Lycoming IO-360-B4A which
offers 128 knots (237 km/h) maximum cruise speed and 522 nm range with 45-minute reserve.
Designed around direct input from flight instructors and students, the Pilot 100i’s interior is simple, yet
functional and was specifically crafted to withstand the rigors of flight training.
Piper Archer® DLX
The Archer® DLX is the perfect combination of the beautifully appointed LX model along with the
efficiency and flexibility of the Continental CD-155 diesel engine. The Archer® DLX is designed with the
private owner in mind, providing a comfortable deluxe interior, the latest in Garmin cockpit technology
and the benefits offered by the Continental CD-155 engine. The Archer® DLX interior is ready for high
flight hours while still providing maximum comfort and durability. Creature comforts abound with highend carpet and interior appointments, power plugs, lighting controls and seat controls for each
passenger.
Piper Archer® LX
The Piper Archer® LX takes the venerable Cherokee fuselage, which is one of the most recognised
single-engine, four-place aircraft available today for the private owner. With a 180-horsepower
Lycoming IO-360 engine driving a Sensenich fixed pitch two-blade propeller, advanced Garmin G1000
NXi avionics and leather-appointed, stylish interior, the Archer® LX is an elegant and reliable aircraft. It
is perfect for continuing your flight journey, as an enjoyable cross-country aircraft.
The Archer® LX interior is ready for high flight hours while still providing maximum comfort and
durability. The Archer® LX Interior is crafted with higher style, more colours and finer materials for
personal transportation missions. Creature comforts abound with high end carpet and interior
appointments, power plugs, lighting controls and seat controls for each passenger.
Piper Seminole
The Seminole exceeds expectations with its reliability, durability and value. Generations of pilots have
trained in the Seminole, but this Seminole is generations ahead with its tried-and-true construction,
power plants, handling capabilities and standard Garmin G1000® NXi flight deck. Each Piper trainer
interior is designed with maximum comfort and durability in mind. The ergonomic seating keeps both
the students and instructors relaxed, making their ability to focus on the flight and lesson easier. Heavyduty vinyl and wear-resistant leathers are hand-fitted to the seats and sidewalls, proven to withstand
repetitive use. The Seminole is designed specifically for efficient, comfortable and safe multi-engine
flight training. Air conditioning is available as an option.
Optional Jeppesen Chartview: remove paper from your student’s briefing process and they can see
their aircraft in its georeferenced position on Jeppesen Chartview on-screen chart services (separate
subscription required). Simplify flight planning, departure, enroute and approach workload by having the
chart the student needs on the MFD when they need it, with a location depiction of the Seminole
overlaid.
Optional TAWS-B Traffic Advisory System: students are often focused on procedures and learning
the intricacies of multi-engine operations, so keeping an eye on terrain and ground-based obstacles
might not be front of mind. The optional Seminole TAWS-B system pulls aircraft position, speed and
direction data from GPS and along with the aircraft’s altitude and configuration information, compares
them to a database of Earth’s terrain and man-made obstacles, issuing audible warnings.
Optional Vision 1000 Appareo flight monitoring system: Monitor flights and record data including
attitude data (pitch, roll, yaw), WAAS GPS (latitude, longitude, ground speed, vertical speed, GPS
altitude), cockpit imaging, ambient audio and intercom system audio for crew and ATC
communications.
