Rapid Imaging Solutions' Payload Retraction System is an affordable alternative to payload mounting for airborne ISR. The PRS is capable of supporting gimbalized payloads up to 12in in diameter and up to 60lbs total weight (STC pending). The crossbar console and seat rail extensions give you a console for equipment and control head mounting that does not occupy the TFO's legroom, as well as giving 10" of rearward travel for middle row seats, providing additional room between the TFO and console (STC pending).
The benefits of installation for the PRS include: reduced FOD damage compared to externally mounted payloads, normal takeoff and climb performance without additional parasitic drag, and it provides a covert ramp presence.

The RapidIR-Pod, designed by the team at Rapid Imaging Solutions, combines and integrates various payloads into an assembly that's easily installed and removed from an aircraft. The RapidIR-Pod delivers a suite of features tailored to nearly any budget and offers an array of options designed by sensor operators, for sensor operators. Fixed wing or Rotor wing, the RapidIR-Pod can be adapted for use by any agency as a low-cost alternative to expensive alterations prior to use. The unit can be easily transferred to your next operational platform.
The system is Li-Ion powered with a Ram Air Turbine used to recharge the batteries in-flight. All controlled with a "Carry-On" mission management interface.

It is lightweight, has 28VDC (max current draw 15A), has dual drive redundancy, a manual fail-safe mode, and is controlled by the Pilot and/or TFO.
