SWANDA Aerospace
We offer custom and standard configurations for all current and legacy powerplant systems, J85, F404/414, F100, F110 and F135.
We provide assistance during planning stages to ensure all requirements are considered and the facility will be in compliance with any required laws and regulations.
Facilities can be configured as permanent structures or as demountable Ground Support Equipment (GSE). The weatherproof structure provides an acoustic housing around the engine and entry for both primary engine air and secondary air.
Airflow is conditioned through a combination of silencers, turning vanes and flow screens to provide uniform, repeatable flow to the engine.
The exhaust system is air-cooled to provide optimal process conditions for long life and minimal emissions. The jet efflux is mixed with ambient air and then passes through a silencing system that ejects the flow to atmosphere to ensure no intake re-ingestion.
The ambient and system flow paths are analyzed using CFD modeling under varying engine settings and wind conditions to ensure the design provides repeatable test results under all engine OEM allowable operating conditions.
Materials and processes used to construct the facility ensure a long service life with minimal maintenance.
Access for the engine is provided by acoustic doors. Monorail Engine handling systems can be provided to install the engine into the Trust Stand. Engine specific adapter frames and dress kit are provided with automatic services connection points. Fuel systems and air start systems are included and are operated as part of the Facility Control System.
