Dual flanged, self-guiding Dolly that is ideal for frequent load moving in many assembly and production line operations and suited for applications requiring repetitive straight-line load moves. LOW-PROFILE SELF-GUIDED While the rolls carry the full load during movement, the dual flanges guide along the outer edges of a flat bar steel track to ensure proper alignment. Their low profile keeps the workplace safe and their low friction means a smoother move with less downtime. ENDLESS MODIFICATIONS Dollies can be easily modified in any number of ways, including custom tops for mounting/fastening to the load, brush-wiper systems to clear debris from the track, and custom shaped steel frames to suit your application requirements. Hilman can also design and supply the steel flat bar tracks and track-turntables in case you need to make a turn for a complete system. Turntables can be integrated directly into an assembly line track system, are utilized to accommodate 90-degree turns in the path of production and potentially divert a module to an additional set of workstations. Manual and automated turntables are both available design options.

Powered Moving Once attached to a steerable skate with an adaptor, it uses “lever” and “traction” to move heavy loads. Rear dollies are used for good grip. The Hilman Traksporter integrates a three point moving system where the front steerable unit is fully powered and operated by remote control. This design offers accuracy, ease of use, and safety. The Traksporter comes in a variety of packages that provide you with all the tools needed for an easy move. All configurations include a 130-BP Traksporter with 30 Ton Capacity Remote-Controlled.

OT, NT, T Series Rollers: Fabricated from high-strength steel, OT, NT, and T Series Rollers are built for durability. For rollers with capacities of 37.5 tons or higher, load plates undergo specialized machining to reduce side-to-side movement of the chain. These rollers are versatile and can also function as static conveyors when inverted. SHD (Super Heavy Duty) Rollers: SHD Rollers represent the highest capacity models offered by Hilman. Available in 150- and 200-ton capacities, they come in two frame configurations: Long (L) or Wide (W). The Wide frame options are available either with a single wide chain or with two individual chains separated by a center plate (C). Low Coefficient of Friction: The combination of a hardened steel load plate and a chain of concentrically arranged, hardened steel rollers delivers exceptional low-friction performance under optimal conditions. These conditions include an evenly centered load and a smooth, level, debris-free, hardened steel rolling surface. When met, tests show that our rollers achieve a coefficient of friction between 1% and 2%. Superior Weight Distribution: The roller design ensures even weight distribution, creating a wide load-bearing footprint. This broad footprint bridges gaps in running plates and small cracks in floor surfaces, enabling smooth, uninterrupted movement. Thanks to the multi-roller system, if one roll breaks, the load remains secure, as other contact rolls on the chain continue to support it.

Placing the dollies in a 3-point configuration can stabilize the rollers and prevent them from slipping out, even under pulling and tugging forces. As the load is steered with the front unit, the rear dollies will follow, providing the user with a wide range of mobility. Additional modules can be added and reconfigured to further stabilize, bulky loads.
