Fin stabilizers are the most widely used devices for roll reduction. Installed on both sides of the hull, these underwater fins automatically adjust their angle in response to the ship’s motion, generating lift to counteract wave-induced rolling. They are commonly found on cruise ships, large passenger vessels, and naval ships.

Reverse Osmosis Fresh Water Generator
Krosys
KROSYS has been supplying reverse osmosis (RO) desalination systems to a wide range of clients for over 40 years.
In particular, KROSYS is the exclusive designated manufacturer for the Republic of Korea Navy. Numerous units have already been installed and are currently in operation on naval vessels. One of our greatest strengths is our proven track record with operational warships, which require strict special performance testing—including shock, vibration, and noise—due to their demanding operational environments. KROSYS is the only company that fully meets these requirements.
All systems are designed and manufactured in-house, and our quality control is rigorously managed in accordance with the Republic of Korea Navy’s stringent standards.

Anti-Rolling Tank System
Krosys
In July 2020, KROSYS entered the Anti-Roll Tank (ART) system business by acquiring Pyeonghwa Engineering, a Korean company with a long-standing history and proven expertise in ART technology.
While ART systems serve a similar purpose to fin stabilizers, they utilize a different mechanism. The system is composed of duct gates, air valves, and hydraulic units, which are precisely controlled in timed cycles to effectively reduce roll motion during vessel operation.
With a wealth of accumulated data from numerous successful installations, KROSYS offers highly efficient and optimized ART solutions. Our systems are engineered to deliver superior roll damping performance with minimal energy consumption, making them an ideal choice for enhancing vessel stability and operational efficiency.

Description
KROSYS acquired the fin stabilizer business from PACMAR (USA) in 1999 and has since successfully localized the technology in Korea. Today, KROSYS independently designs, manufactures, and supplies its own fin stabilizer systems.
We specialize in fixed-type fin stabilizers and have a strong track record of installations on naval vessels, fisheries patrol ships, and special-purpose vessels such as hospital ships.
Expanding beyond the domestic market, KROSYS has actively pursued global opportunities and established a growing international presence. In 2024, we successfully delivered fin stabilizers for two new 90-meter Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) built for the Indonesian Navy. The vessels include:
#1: KRI Raja Haji Fisabilillah (RHF)-391
#2: KRI Lukas Rumkorem (LRK)-392
