Essential™
COTSWORKS
The Essential™ is low profile, rugged pluggable optical transceiver. Available in duplex, dual TX, dual RX or BiDi configurations on Multimode and Singlemode wavelengths. Operating at 1-28Gbps with compliance to IEEE 1-25Gbps Ethernet, 1-21Gbps Fibre Channel, Infiniband, sFPDP, XAUI, FC-AV/ARINC 818 and other standard protocols. The Essential™ is electrically pluggable to a wave-solderable connector and utilizes screws for operation in high shock and vibration environments. Essential™ boasts a superior optical link budget and an embedded ARINC 801 fiber interface.
SPOT - Secure Parallel Optical Transceivers
COTSWORKS
SPOT™ and SPOT-CE™ are a platform of parallel transceivers with 4Tx and 4Rx channels at 850nm SX/SR standard, SPOT and SPOT-CE offer configurations operating at 1/10/40Gbps data rates. The electrical connector is a high-tolerance industry standard QSFP electrical connector. It mates with a 1-28Gbps surface mount receptacle enabling easy installation and direct upgrade to the 10/28Gbps version of SPOT/SPOT-CE in development.
Description
Q1 includes releases from all four platforms. New Opto-Electronic products are the Essential Bi-Di and Long Wavelength CWDM4 based RCP TM. Interconnect launches Lightly and POF M29504 as well as Potted Connectors & Pluggables. From our OSA group come 28G TOSAs & ROSAs including our first Long Wavelength single mode product. A stunning evaluation board comes ahead of the SPOT transceiver release and customer driven optical test updates from the Test platform.
In Q2 we have our first update on SPOT TM and SPOT-CE TM as well as the brand-new MT-T TM connector to pair with SPOT-CE. We’ll also introduce lensed MT cable assemblies, more TOSAs & ROSAs, and custom options for the OIT platform.
In the second half of 2025, comes…25G. SPOT28-SR, SPOT28-CE-SR and SFP28-SR. From Interconnect are MT-T jumpers, Rugged singlemode and multimode couplers, S/C/D/WD Multiplexors, and multi-fiber termini. A new TOSA, BOSA and two optical engines from the OSA Product Platform. The Test Product Platform will finish the year with an Opto-Cube update and the Eval boards move to I/O modules on FPGA cards.
