sonomarc
Plexsys Australia
Proven and relied upon for audio integration into state-of-the-art flight simulators with singular to multi-seat configurations
Connects to Instructor Link, allowing instructor observation, feedback, radio volume control, and malfunction injects
Automatically models and adjust audio feeds to account for atmospherics and terrain effects simulating radio propagation loss
Sonomarc radios can be fused with environmental audio simulating background static, aircraft engine noise, combat audio, or any recorded audio file
Create an audio bridge used to combine live and simulated radios into a single communications suite, converts analog signals to digital and digital signals to analog
Enhance training experience by giving operators fully functional UHF, VHF, HF, SATCOM, and Link16 radios simulated through their legacy communications panels and software
Integrate SIP and VoIP connections into Sonomarc sessions reducing system limitations and providing additional communication nodes within a network
Connect tactical and operational chat servers to Sonomarc using XMPP; Chat UI is available in Chat Link and Instructor Link

Direct Link Interface
Plexsys Australia
Data-Link Translation
The PLEXSYS Direct Link Interface (DLI) uses high-speed processing to assimilate and translate datalink messages on the fly bi-directionally. This processing allows customers to use actual “mission use” hardware even while participating in a virtual exercise environment. Basically, on the live side of a mixed environment training venue, DLI provides a data source that mission hardware perceives as live data while receiving and translating data from mission hardware for distribution to virtual consumers. This data translation provides a simplified hardware configuration management path and a flexible training venue.
Interfaces & Protocols Supported
SIMPLE Link-16
SIMPLE Link-11
JREAP-C
MIL-STD 1553
DIS (SISO-J)
SIMPLE DIS Ed. 2

Description
Williamtown, Australia (April 22, 2025) - PLEXSYS Australia Pty Ltd (PLEXSYS) is excited to announce plans for a collaborative Synthetic Environment Users Group event, scheduled to take place on 22 & 23 October 2025 at Macquarie University in North Ryde, NSW. The event will bring together leading defence, academic, and industry partners to explore the latest innovations and collaborative efforts shaping the future of synthetic environments for simulation, training, and operational readiness in Australia. Participating companies include:
• PLEXSYS Australia
• 4C Strategies
• Solipsys Corporation
• SimCentric
• Bohemia Interactive
• Macquarie University
• Bonboo
Guests can expect a collaborative gathering of industry experts from within the simulation and synthetic environment community to demonstrate their cutting-edge capabilities. This event will highlight how integrated, collaborative solutions can directly support and enhance the operational readiness of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and increase the capabilities of the Defence Industry to deliver solutions to the ADF.
Day one of the Synthetic Environment Users Group will focus on dedicated briefings, where each participating company will provide a solution-based overview of their capabilities, a first look at upcoming developments, and detailed roadmaps. PLEXSYS global team members look forward to presenting significant projects and solutions from their regions, including Australia, Northern America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The second day will focus on execution, where the systems will integrate with into a live environment and be used to execute a scenario based on a major multinational defence exercise schedule. The aim of the scenario will be to demonstrate how together the systems can support training, and complex operations across various domains, including air, land, maritime, space, and cyber.
“SEUG 25 exemplifies the power of collaboration bringing together defence industry and academia to shape the future of simulation and training. By connecting capabilities to the live C2 environment, we’re not just showcasing technology we’re forging the interoperability essential for joint mission success” said Rob Miller, Director PLEXSYS Australia
Attendees can look forward to engaging with industry leaders, sharing insights, and discussing synthetic environments' futures in defense and training.
