SpaceSAF
CleanJoule
SpaceSAF is CleanJoule’s superior, drop-in replacement for rocket propellant 1 & 2 (RP-1 / 2) with increased space mission performance. It is being evaluated by private and the DoD for current and future applications. Performance highlights include superior low temperature viscosity, higher volumetric and gravimetric energy densities than traditional kerosene-based fuels, low aromatics, undetectable sulfur, and undetectable olefins.
Innovative and proprietary process for manufacturing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and renewable bio-rubber
CleanJoule
The basic building block of these carbon negative products is biologically derived isoprene, which is manufactured by an innovative process. This has the potential to reduce or eliminate CO2 emissions in aviation and introduce carbon negative consumer apparels.
CycloSAF
CleanJoule
CleanJoule’s pathway includes a groundbreaking, two-step process that is incredibly efficient by every metric, including being cost competitive with fuels like Jet A at full commercial scale. CycloSAF is a superior fuel for use across commercial aviation. It delivers 10% higher energy density than average Jet A while decreasing aircraft maintenance by reducing 86% of soot formation. CycloSAF has formally started ASTM International’s D4054 process for qualification to be blended with conventional Jet A/A-1, which ensures compatibility with airframes and engines when blended with conventional jet fuel.

Description
To ensure readiness to scale, CleanJoule renovated an existing factory into a new, state-of-the-art demonstration manufacturing plant in Salt Lake City, Utah. The facility significantly increases CleanJoule’s capacity to produce CycloSAF with a maximum output of 60,000 gallons per year. This plant will serve as a blueprint for full-scale CycloSAF plants worldwide ensuring production readiness upon receiving ASTM International approval to sell the fuel.
