The MXR® ambidextrous reciprocating charging handle and ambidextrous controls with 3-position pictogram selector markings provide the advantages of ergonomic user interface and integral bolt forward assist, with the ability to quietly chamber and confirm loaded round. Engineered and produced in the USA of aerospace grade materials combined with high-impact polymer components for a lifetime of hard use; the MXR® monolithic receiver features either MIL-STD 1913 or STANAG 4694 NATO Accessory Rails (NAR) at the 6 and 12 o’clock positions and Magpul® M-LOK interfaces at 3 and 9 o’clock positions for optimum strength and accessory retention.
Configured with time-proven blowback operation from a closed bolt and a quick-change threaded barrel for suppressor use; the MXR® can be field stripped in seconds without tools to provide for easy takedown, maintenance, and mission-specific configuration. The FightLite® AMG-2™ (Assault Machine Gun) is a lightweight, air cooled, gas-piston/pusher-rod operated, Dual-Feed®, Automatic weapon that operates reliably with both M16 rifle magazines and M27 linked ammunition common to the M249 SAW. It functions in both semi-automatic and full-automatic modes of fire permitting the user to selectively engage the enemy with precision or suppressive fires as needed. The gas-piston operation directs most of the propellant gases and fouling forward and out of the muzzle allowing the AMG-2™ to remain less fouled in adverse conditions and during extended periods of use.
Equipped with a MIL-STD 1913 handguard for the mounting of bipods, heat shields, lights, lasers, forward grips and accessories; the AMG-2™ also features a True Quick-Change barrel that can be swapped by the user without tools in as little as 3 seconds. AMG-2™ barrels are available in 12.5”, 16.25” and 20” inch lengths for both heat mitigation and maximum mission flexibility - from suppressed CQB to wide open terrain.
