Winner of the DoD's Manufacturing Achievement Award, Edare's Fastener Measurement Tool was developed in collaboration with Navy, Airforce, and industry partners to bring laboratory-grade aerospace fastener inspections at scale to high-volume production and MRO operations.
Handheld, portable, and designed to be used with minimal training, the FMT3 integrates seamlessly into existing manufacturing and maintenance environments.
It returns rapid, objective, pass/fail evaluations of OML countersinks and fasteners based on dense 3D scan data and advanced, full automated algorithms.
Gage R&R validated performance with RMS accuracy typically better than 0.0003" (7-8 micron), the FMT3 delivers quality improvements, reduces costs, and accelerates throughput.
With a 50% touch labor reduction, FMT's impact on aerospace manufacturing has led to over $13M+ in lifecycle cost savings (fastener inspection on F-35 platform).
