A video from Kaman shows how its autonomous, medium-lift Kargo UAV might be used to support expeditionary logistics. The quadcopter Kargo drone is designed to carry a payload of up to 800 lb. (around 360 kg) and self-deploy with no payload to a distance of over 500 nautical miles (925 km). It will be powered by a 300-horsepower turbine engine and use conventional transmission technology to drive its four teetering rotor systems.
