SULFURTRAP® Adsorbents for H₂S Removal
Merichem Technologies
SULFURTRAP® is an H₂S adsorbent media that removes hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and light mercaptans. Its high sulfur-loading capacity and free-flowing characteristics result in an increased bed life and reduced maintenance and replacement costs. You get efficient, long-lasting hydrogen sulfide removal from natural gas and biogas processing applications.
H₂S treatment using SULFURTRAP for almost any gas stream including acid gas, natural gas, landfill gas, biogas, CO₂ and more; 0 TPD up to 1.5 TPD.
Our products are proven around the world to increase process efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce operating costs.
UHC
Ideal for removing H₂S in demanding environments. Specially formulated to minimize changeouts, this advanced high-sulfur tonnage adsorbent offers the lowest cost per pound of sulfur removed on the market.

Extended life, low pressure drop, easy changeout iron-based pellets for gas phase applications. Lasts 2-3 times longer than the leading hydrogen sulfide adsorbent.

SULFURTRAP® Skid-Mounted Adsorbent Vessel System
Merichem Technologies
SULFURTRAP® Skid-Mounted Vessel System has two vertical pressure vessels in lead-lag configuration. The sour stream is fed to the top section of the lead vessel passing through both vessels as in a series arrangement. Once the adsorbent in the lead vessel has been exhausted, the sour feed is redirected to only flow through the lag vessel loaded with fresh adsorbent. The lead vessel is then placed off-line to perform an adsorbent change-out. Finally, when the fresh adsorbent is loaded in the original lead vessel, the gas flow is reverted with the original lag vessel becoming the new lead vessel.
LO-CAT® – Sulfur Recovery Technology
Merichem Technologies
LO-CAT’s aqueous-based ambient temperature process features a chelated-iron catalyst that is applicable to any gas stream. With removal efficiencies of over 99.9% and up to 100% turndown, hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) is converted to elemental sulfur.
