About
Iowa offers a positive business climate, an educated work force and an economy focused on innovation. Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) can help start a business, expand an existing business, locate a business, as well as develop international business for Iowa.
The aviation maintenance industry alone, including repair stations, airline base and line maintenance, parts distribution and manufacturing, is an important part of the economy in Iowa with a total impact of just over $1 billion.
Also, thanks to a cluster of technology companies in the Cedar Rapids area spanning aerospace engineering, manufacturing, transportation and logistics, and communications, the Eastern Iowa Airport is in the process of developing an action plan to grow the aerospace industry through increased investment, development and job creation.
