A wide range of cable and wire configurations are available. The Nano product line, with .025” (.635mm) pitch, accepts AWG conductors in the range of 30-38 AWG. The Micro product line, with .050” (1.2 mm) pitch, accepts conductors with 26-30 AWG in general. Smaller AWG wire can be accommodated in both product lines with special considerations. With such small wire sizes, tensile strength is often a major concern. Omnetics has many solutions for this problem, including high-strength copper alloys, high-strength Kevlar® or Nomex® strength members, miniature strength members impregnated in the stranded conductor bundle, and more. These techniques enhance ruggedness and durability, and ensure the cable harness will not fail in the field.

Omnetics’ Micro Strip connectors are COTS and Standard connectors that include latching options and apply the rugged Mil Spec Flex pin and socket system including a fine pitch board mount option with high quality solder contacts. They are designed for extreme conditions where space and weight are a premium. These low profile micro-miniature connectors are available in a wide variety of configurations including both single and dual row connections to meet your board-to-board or cable-to-board interconnect requirements.

Omnetics Micro-D subminiature connectors are QPL qualified and designed and manufactured to meet and exceed MIL-DTL-83513. The connector assembly is built to assure the highest performance through high shock and vibration applications as well as extreme environmental use. They use the proven beryllium copper spring pin to socket contact system plated with both nickel and gold that assures the highest quality for mating and de-mating and very low contact resistance. Pin and sockets are set at .050” center to center lines. Our standard and COTs models are available in pin counts from 9 through 51 positions and come available in solder cup and wired as well as board mount configurations. The collection of Micro-D connectors also includes special high temperature versions, deep space versions with NASA qualified low outgassing, as well as mixed signal designs fabricated to match your application directly.

Omnetics' Dual Row Nano-D connectors meet or exceed the requirements for Mil-DTL-32139. These rugged high-reliability Dual Row Nano-D connectors occupy less space and reduce the weight of the interconnect system for critical miniaturized electronic modules.
