Description
The Cedars-Sinai International team contributed meaningfully to the 47th World Hospital Congress in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, hosted by the International Hospital Federation (IHF). This global forum brought together over 2,000 healthcare leaders from 65 countries to share insights, innovations, and best practices. Alan Dubovsky, vice president and chief patient experience officer, served on the event’s Scientific Committee, collaborating with healthcare experts worldwide to shape an impactful agenda that highlighted Cedars-Sinai’s dedication to clinical excellence.
Cedars-Sinai leveraged the event to deepen connections and explore collaborative opportunities with international health systems. Notable engagements included a presentation at Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Saudi Arabia, where Dubovsky and Maxwell Nicholson shared insights on patient experience excellence. Additionally, Joyelle Sudbury, chief quality officer, highlighted Cedars-Sinai’s success in advancing quality across its health system, illustrating how thoughtful strategies and frameworks contribute to sustainable improvements in care.
The event also highlighted Cedars-Sinai’s commitment to leadership development. Arshia Yadav, a project manager and alum of the IHF’s Young Executive Leaders Program, participated in workshops and presentations, focusing on enhancing continuity of care. By supporting the development of emerging healthcare leaders, Cedars-Sinai reaffirmed its role as a collaborative and forward-thinking institution.
This year’s Congress underscored Cedars-Sinai’s growing role as a trusted global healthcare partner. By fostering connections, sharing expertise, and supporting leadership development, the team demonstrated its ongoing commitment to advancing healthcare standards worldwide and working alongside peers to create meaningful, lasting improvements.
