Cedars-Sinai is boosting its innovation efforts by launching a Digital Innovation Platform in partnership with venture builder Redesign Health to create and grow digital health startups focused on solving major healthcare challenges like personalized medicine, specialty care access, workflow optimization, clinical decision support, and improved care coordination. The platform differs from the existing Accelerator program by partnering entrepreneurs with Cedars-Sinai staff, investors, and startup builders to develop solutions from concept to launch, often based on ideas from clinicians and internal teams. The initiative supports new companies with early funding, expert guidance, and opportunities to pilot solutions in real hospital settings, giving Cedars-Sinai the role of first funder, customer, and pilot site. A key feature is access to large datasets that mimic real health information, helping startups design smarter tools and refine them with user feedback—strengthening the pathway from innovation to real-world impact.
