GENTEX TACAIR ADVANCED CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, RADIOLOGICAL, AND NUCLEAR (CBRN) RESPIRATOR SYSTEM
Gentex Corporation
The Gentex TACAIR Advanced Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Respirator System was specifically designed and tested to meet stringent performance specifications by the Department of Defense. The state-of-the-art system respirator provides world-class levels of protection for F-15, F-16, F/A-18, and other fixed wing pilots. The respirator system simultaneously provides CBRN and Pressure Breathing for Altitude (PBA) / Pressure Breathing for Gravity (PBG) protection.
ALPHA 900 Search and Rescue (SAR) Rotary Wing Helmet System
Gentex Corporation
Based on the design adopted by the U.K. MoD, and developed in partnership with wet-winch search and rescue aircrew in Bristow Helicopters, the ALPHA 900 Search and Rescue (SAR) Helmet System is the world’s first waterproof rotary wing helmet system optimized for any search and rescue aircrew personnel conducting air-to-sea operations. Leveraging the modern and lightweight design of the ALPHA 900 Cross-Platform helmet shell, the ALPHA 900 SAR features corrosion-resistant hardware, plus a waterproof and salt-fog resistant communications system to ensure continued performance when exposed to water and spray. Optimized for interfacing to common SAR radios and configurable for all major aircraft intercom systems, the ALPHA 900 SAR is the ideal solution for aircrew operating near water.
GENTEX HGU-56/P & 84/P MAXILLOFACIAL SHIELD
Gentex Corporation
The Gentex Maxillofacial Shield (MFS) safeguards the wearer’s lower face from rotor wash, flying debris, and windblast during helicopter operations. An optional upgrade to Gentex's HGU-56/P or HGU-84/P Rotary Wing Helmets, the MFS can also be easily fitted to the Gentex HGU-55/P Rotary Wing Helmet for airlift operations. The protective shield attaches to the helmet with a complete installation kit, weighs less than five ounces, and offers an interface between shield and visor that reduces wind on the face. The shield also offers ballistic fragmentation protection up to 550 feet per second (fps). An upgrade kit contains the face shield, helmet side hardware, shield side hardware, and instructions for installation. This requires drilling two small holes in the helmet shell. Both kits are available in a subdued matte black finish that can be easily custom painted and are compatible with Mike Lites™. Additionally, a standard wire boom microphone or Gentex Flex Boom Microphone can be positioned behind the MFS, which significantly enhances communications clarity by reducing wind noise across the microphone(s). The HGU-56/P MFS comes standard with dual side release latches that provide for positive lock and ambidextrous quick release of the shield and is available in one size that fits all. The MFS HGU-84/P version attaches to the helmet with adjustable straps and snaps and comes in two sizes (Medium/Large or X Large/X Large Wide).
GENTEX HGU-55/P FIXED WING HELMET SYSTEM
Gentex Corporation
Designed as a versatile platform, the HGU-55/P helmet is available in two configurations to suit a full range of High-G mission needs. The lightweight standard version is constructed of a Graphite/Aramid shell which reduces head-borne weight while maintaining strength. For high-performance maneuvers up to +9 Gs and to help prevent G-induced loss of consciousness (GLOC), the Gentex Lightweight HGU-55/P COMBAT EDGE is the standard for all U.S. Air Force F-15 and F-16 aircrew. This technologically advanced system provides pilots with a decisive edge in combat by reducing fatigue, so they may perform more high-G missions per day without compromising performance.

GENTEX WIRE-FREE COMMUNICATION EARPLUGS (WCEP) KIT
Gentex Corporation
Providing advanced hearing protection in high noise environments for commercial & military aircrew, and ground crew personnel, the Gentex® Wire-Free Communication Earplugs (WCEP) Kit operates on the principle of Near Field Magnetic Induction (NFMI). The WCEP Kit improves passive noise attenuation, eliminates snag and hot spots associated with earplug wires, and simplifies helmet donning and doffing. The WCEP Kit also provides an ease of use with CBRN gear by eliminating the need to have wires pass through equipment. The WCEP Kit fits in helmets and headset earcups to provide redundant operations to existing equipment speakers.
GENTEX® GENTEX MASK LIGHT DYNAMIC MIC
Gentex Corporation
The Gentex Mask Light Dynamic Mic provides an essential source of supplemental cockpit lighting for the Gentex High Altitude/Low Profile (HA/LP) Oxygen Mask and the Gentex MBU-20/P Oxygen Mask product line. The aviation accessory for today’s warfighter is a fully integrated compatible light source suitable for use during night flight operations, including those that require the use of Night Vision Goggles (NVGs). Rated and approved Safe-to-Fly by the U.S. Air Force, the Gentex Mask Light Dynamic Mic allows aircrew to read maps, charts, checklists, and cockpit instrumentation without compromising safety, enhancing situational awareness.
MBU-20A/P Oxygen Mask
Gentex Corporation
Gentex offers a USAF approved and supportable Non-PBG MBU-20/P aircrew oxygen mask for non-pressure breathing applications. The Non-PBG MBU-20/P (MBU-20A/P, pictured to the left with Mask Light option) is a reduced cost variant of the Combat Edge configured MBU-20/P. Reference T.O. 14P3-1-161, Change 29. The Non-PBG MBU-20/P as a common mask, significantly lowers logistic burden from maintaining multiple mask configurations and spares while reduce cost of maintaining, printing, and distributing technical orders for multiple configurations. Standardized initial and recurring aircrew and life support technical training and increased commonality, affordability and interoperability are just some of the advantages of the MBU-20A/P. A sizing chart is available to determine proper oxygen mask fit. Gentex offers a fully supportable assembly with spare parts inventory readily available. Contact us for additional information.
GENTEX HGU-56/P ROTARY WING HELMET SYSTEM
Gentex Corporation
Designed to support the U.S. Army Air Soldier Program objective to reduce the weight and bulk of flight safety equipment for extended mission requirements of rotary wing aircrew, the HGU-56/P Rotary Wing Helmet System weighs less than the legacy HGU-56/P RWH System, making it easily wearable during extended use while maintaining industry-leading impact-protection levels.
